| Other Info | "Sounds the way a David Lynch film looks and feels" Louder Than War "Melancholic, enchanting and emotional. One could say their passionate energy transcends into another world." Brighton and Hove News "The multi infused Lady Greyling presented many influences such as Dylan, Lennon and even a hint of late Bowie" Off Key Reviews AK Patterson were formed in Brighton after lead singer, and art school graduate found her fellow bandmates on the music circuit in 2015. Over the last 4 years they have carved a unique sound, described as “the way a David Lynch film looks and feels”. Their live shows are somewhat a spectacle, equal parts menacing and captivating as the multi-instrumentalists entertain a carousel of cello, double bass, electric guitar, violin, and clarinet. At the heart of each performance is the lead singer's original vocal style, one that has dubbed her ‘a woman possessed’. It evolved from her upbringing in a jazz-centric household, and influences from Bjork, Jeff Buckley, and Ella Fitzgerald. The band worked with award-winning producer Charlie Andrew (Alt-J, Marika Hackman, Sivu) on their debut EP, Shadows, released in 2018. Following that they were invited by alt-J to support them on international dates and a UK tour which culminated in two shows at the Royal Albert Hall. The band will be showcasing their new EP, set for release in the spring this year. We can expect to hear the introduction of electronics and sampling as they continue to push the boundaries of their sound in a genre-melding way. The band say they had a lot of fun in the studio creating something which was unabashedly theatrical, and full of both tenderness and grit. 7.30PM £5 / £8 All advance ticket holders receive 20% OFF their food bill.
